Know Your Wood

Naturally Different. Naturally Beautiful.

Wood is a natural material, and every piece carries its own grain, colour and character. Subtle variations, knots and tonal differences are part of what make each wooden product unique.

This means that no two Crafts Expressions products will look exactly alike—and that is precisely their beauty.

The Character of Natural Wood

Variations in grain, colour, texture and pattern occur naturally within wood. Even pieces crafted from the same type of wood may absorb stains, colours and finishes differently.

You may notice:

  • Natural grain patterns
  • Small knots or markings
  • Slight differences in colour and tone
  • Gentle variations in texture and finish

These are natural characteristics rather than signs of a manufacturing defect. However, damage, cracks affecting the product’s use or structural instability should be reported to us.

Shaped by Hand

Crafts Expressions pieces are shaped and finished by hand. Slight variations in dimensions, painted details and surface finishes may therefore occur.

These small differences reflect the handcrafted nature of the product and ensure that every piece has an identity of its own.

Living with Wood

Wood responds naturally to its surroundings. Changes in temperature and humidity may cause slight movement over time. Keeping your product away from prolonged moisture, direct sunlight and extreme heat will help preserve it.

Understanding Your Product

Not every product of ours’ is made entirely from wood. Depending on its design and purpose, a product may also include MDF, resin, glass, metal fittings, printed surfaces or other materials.

Please refer to the individual product page for its specific material details.

A Note About Product Photographs

We make every effort to represent our products and colours accurately. However, natural material variations, handcrafted finishes, photography and differences between screens may cause the delivered product to look different from the photograph.

That little difference is part of owning something made with natural materials and shaped by hand.
